Red-Tail Hawk's NewYears Brunch01-Jan-2012I couldn't believe what I was seeing ...this beautiful creature has been visiting for over 8yrs now and does NOT allow photography : )
At first I saw something moving under the trees. So grabbed my phone and can you believe he moved into the light for the greatest photo ops he and I have had in eight years ...well I think he's the same bird ...wow I took pics and video for like 40min to maybe an hour. I will upload more pics ...I noticed when he got spooked he would cover his entire meal with his wings ...a car even drove by and he stayed there very still ...funny I could see his head move watching the car go by. Finally it was my wanta be stealthy cat that causes him to flee ...funny tho my cat ...actually was supposed to have been just a foster cat I'm keeping for a friend ...hum ...I named her ManekiNeko ...so, funny she is NO bigger then Red-Tail ...good thing he filled up before she entered the scene : ) So that's been my first Awesome wildlife encounter of 2012 Recent/Related Encounters
