Belted Kingfisher18-Jan-2010I was looking for Hooded Mergansers here at Old Sam's Pond in Manasquan, NJ. It was quite amazing for me to finally see a Belted Kingfisher so up close and personal! I love their sound. I did note that every time he sang, his tail raised up. I was using a 500 mm lens with a 1.4 multiplier on a Canon 5D Mark II.
