Rutting Elk on a beach--a great thing to show guests visiting from out-of-country! It was our first stop of the week. Curiously, younger males in the herd were actively mounting...the largest bull was not! [Cervus canadensis roosevelti]

	Thanks both! It is an odd sight to see for sure, and it's fun to try to explain that it's normal behavior to the befuddled tourist.

	I love it! I'm used to my elk in land locked Colorado, so this really made me smile. :)
