CommonHighWidespread
Colorado Wyoming Idaho New Hampshire Maine

Moose are not found in warm weather areas, because their bodies cannot tolerate too much heat.  Moose cannot sweat and their large, bulky bodies can cause them to overheat easily.

How to see Moose

Moose tend to be active at dawn and dusk. They are often found around water, eating water weeds and willows (even swimming deep underwater to reach morsels.) Look for Moose in or near willow thickets.
