Look for tufted titmice in woodlands, forests, tree-lined parks, suburban neighborhoods and backyard birdfeeders. They can be seen east of the Great Plains all year-long. Tufted titmice make their nests in holes in trees. They will often use abandoned woodpecker holes and cavities in dead trees, because they cannot make new holes in trees.
